Meet Tanner Roland, a senior recruiter on our Human Resources team. A Nashville native, Tanner is passionate about building meaningful relationships and contributing to the next step in someone’s career path. Where did you grow up?
Nashville native! Born and raised.

Where did you go to college?
The University of Tennessee – Go Vols!

What was your first job?
When I was 14, I worked at my high school computer shop repairing laptops.

What is your favorite project you’ve worked on while at Gresham Smith and why?
I am currently working to rebuild our university recruiting program. I am extremely excited to bring this program back to life, focus on connecting with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and provide a quality internship experience to all who decide to join us!

What made you choose your profession?
I love people and hearing their stories. I appreciate aligning them to the position that allows them to shine and reach their own career goals.

What’s your personal motto?
Be authentic. Be accountable. Be the enemy of mediocracy.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I have been playing the violin since I was 3 years old. I am a little rusty now, but still fiddle around (see what I did there 😉).
