Workshop led by Healthcare Director of Research and Innovation Lesa Lorusso, PhD, MBA, Allied AIA, ASID, RID, NCIDQ and Senior Data and Research Specialist Renée Burnham
During this interactive workshop, participants will work in teams to explore and evaluate pre-design planning activities. Each team member will be assigned a unique roll and will collaborate with their team members to develop a current state assessment and identify future facility priorities and space requirements that align with the Baldrige criteria for performance excellence. Participants will also learn how to apply the Baldridge performance system criteria (leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis & knowledge management, workforce, operations and results) when developing a master planning current state assessment for their own organization.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop 5- and 10-year demand forecasts, key room capacity requirements and departmental space requirements that incorporate organizational attributes, core competencies, strategic objectives, operational action plans, work systems, and workforce needs.
- Discuss the Baldridge performance system criteria of leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis & knowledge management, workforce, operations and results.
- Explain how a facility prioritization tool for campus development can support an organization’s goals for performance excellence.
- Identify research tools to evaluate and measure improvements in performance excellence.
