The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg: Enhancing Non-Potable water to Improve Flexibility and Resiliency at the Dallas Water Utilities Central Wastewater Treatment Plant
Presented by Gresham Smith Vice President Tim O’Brien, P.E., ENV SP, Dallas Water Utilities’ Lance Phillps, and LAN’s Alexander Zuniga and Greg Vaughn

Non-potable water systems play a vital role in supporting the functions of the critical processes and equipment at wastewater treatment plants; however, the system’s function, size, and ability to support the critical systems can often be taken for granted. During this session, presenters will share a case study highlighting how they evaluated the existing non-potable water system at Dallas Water Utilities’ Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, performing analysis and modeling to provide recommendations for upgrades to enhance flexibility and resiliency for the non-potable water delivery system.
