Christian Dunaway is executive vice president and market vice president of Gresham Smith’s Water + Environment Market. In this dual capacity, he is responsible for the leadership of nearly 100 professionals across seven states, leading the market’s day-to-day strategy and operations while fostering professional growth and development opportunities for staff. His focus also extends to expanding the firm’s presence in geographic and technical markets experiencing a rising demand for water-related services.

Christian brings 25 years of experience leading people, managing projects and overseeing business operations. He has been heavily involved with a number of clients in the Atlanta area, including Gwinnett County, DeKalb County and the City of Atlanta. Christian has designed, managed and led a variety of water and wastewater design and construction projects, including collection systems, sanitary sewer rehabilitation, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and master planning projects. Additionally, he has extensive experience in alternative delivery of these projects.

Prior to joining Gresham Smith, Christian served as vice president and manager of U.S. Infrastructure Operations at Tetra Tech, where he established the company’s infrastructure business in the Metro Atlanta area in 2012.
