Brian Wieseler Joins Gresham Smith’s Growing Industrial Team in Charlotte

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Brian Wieseler, P.E., LEED AP, CEM, has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as a senior electrical engineer.

As a senior electrical engineer, he designs the layout of the lighting, power and systems in a facility as well as making sure the design meets owner expectations and all applicable codes.

At Gresham Smith, he’s currently supporting the Ultium Cells battery plant in Ohio as well as Giffin in North Carolina and Blue Bell projects in Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska. He’s a licensed electrical and mechanical engineer in over 35 states.

Wieseler has over two decades of electrical and mechanical engineering experience working for clients in a variety of industries. Previously, he served nearly a decade with Zachry Engineering in Charlotte as a senior electrical engineer primarily working for clients in power generation and renewable energy. Prior to that, he held engineering roles with the Army Corps of Engineers in Columbia, South Carolina, working on projects related to Fort Jackson’s water, gas and electricity consumption, and AECOM in Omaha, Nebraska, working on projects related to nuclear and coal power generation. He also has experience working on projects for hospitals, vehicle maintenance facilities, correctional facilities, airports, General Services Administration and other government projects, hospitality, reservations, casinos, churches, schools, retail, industrial and commercial clients.
