Gresham Smith is pleased to welcome Curt Jackson, ASLA, LEED AP, as a senior landscape architect in the firm’s Atlanta office. Curt will use his more than a decade of landscape architecture experience to grow Gresham Smith’s Land Planning market in the Greater Atlanta region, building a strong local presence and serving clients throughout Georgia.

Prior to joining Gresham Smith, Curt served in various landscape architecture and project management roles for firms in the Greater Atlanta area, including Eberly & Associates, Inc., Site Solutions, and Dargan Landscape Architects. He brings a strong understanding of green infrastructure practices in both urban and residential settings, as well as at colleges and universities. Curt also has experience designing educational spaces, amenities, mixed-use developments, and athletic complexes, and his portfolio includes a number of high-profile projects including the residential development at Avalon, the 725 Ponce office tower along the beltline, and Atlanta Public Schools’ Walden Athletic Complex.

“We’re excited to have Curt join our team and expand our landscape architecture services in the Atlanta market,” said Jessica Lucyshyn, P.E., executive vice president and market vice president of Gresham Smith’s Land Planning market. “Curt’s experience coupled with his involvement in the landscape architecture community will be a true asset to our Land Planning team. We look forward to integrating his design ideas into some of our firm’s largest mixed-use projects.”

In his new role as senior landscape architect, Curt will support the firm’s Corporate + Urban Design market on a number of high-profile mixed-used and corporate campus projects. He’ll also be actively involved in supporting the firm’s public works design efforts in Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky, working closely with the firm’s Transportation team to design greenways and trails.

Curt earned his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia. An active member in the landscape architecture community, Curt currently serves as the Georgia American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) chapter president, as well as on ASLA’s National Emerging Professional Committee.

Outside of work, you can catch Curt running along the Chattahoochee River, Atlanta Beltline and Piedmont Park. He also enjoys playing golf, tennis and hiking throughout Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
