Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Civil Engineer Dustin Scruggs, P.E., was named “Young Engineer of the Year” by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Tennessee Section. The award is given annually to a member of ASCE under the age of 35 who has made significant contributions to the engineering profession and their community during the early years of their career. Dustin was recognized at the Tennessee Engineers’ Conference on Monday, September 16.

“We pride ourselves on our genuine, down-to-earth people who are just as engaged in their communities as they are in their work. Gresham Smith is fortunate to have talented young professionals like Dustin on our team and we’re proud that ASCE Tennessee is honoring the hard work and dedication we see from him every day,” said Mickey Sullivan, P.E., executive vice president of Land Planning, Gresham Smith. “Our people are what defines us and when they succeed, our projects and clients succeed too. Congratulations to Dustin on this well-deserved honor.”

Dustin has made significant impacts during his involvement with ASCE’s Nashville Branch, helping to restructure the branch and serving as its treasurer for six years.
