Dustin Scruggs Named Young Engineer of the Year by ASCE Tennessee
Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Civil Engineer Dustin Scruggs, P.E., was named “Young Engineer of the Year” by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Tennessee Section. The award is given annually to a member of ASCE under the age of 35 who has made significant contributions to the engineering profession and their community during the early years of their career. Dustin was recognized at the Tennessee Engineers’ Conference on Monday, September 16.

Dustin has made significant impacts during his involvement with ASCE’s Nashville Branch, helping to restructure the branch and serving as its treasurer for six years. He is also active with the branch’s Meeting Committee, Budget Committee, Endowment Committee, and he oversees the Scholarship Committee and Sustaining Membership Committee.
A member of Gresham Smith’s Land Planning team since 2017, Dustin has more than nine years of experience providing custom solutions for clients and communities. He has worked on the Oxford Commons development in Antioch, Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, and served as the civil engineer-of-record for the 600,000-square-foot Ramsey Solutions Headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, the new home to financial guru Dave Ramsey and his team.
