Experienced Project Executive Alex Kim Joins Gresham Smith in Atlanta

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Alex Kim, CGC, is joining the firm in Alpharetta, Georgia, as a Project Executive charged with growing the Industrial market’s practice in the Atlanta area.

Kim brings over 24 years of experience in real estate development, business development, project management and construction management in the United States and Asia.

Prior to joining Gresham Smith, he served over a decade as vice president of an architecture firm in Seoul, South Korea, where he contributed to number of landmark projects in Asia, including Humo Arena Sports and Entertainment Complex in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, the FedEx Incheon Gateway Center relocation as well as the New Phnom Penh International Airport in Cambodia. In addition, he served as Project Director for Gale International, where he was part of the team behind New Songdo International City, the largest private real estate development in the world.

Earlier in his career, Kim served as a project manager for CBRE, where he managed corporate real estate accounts for clients such as Bank of America in Florida. He also managed tenant fit-out project for the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.

As a Project Executive at Gresham Smith, he will focus on growing the firm’s Industrial portfolio in Atlanta with a focus on international companies moving their operations to the U.S., primarily in the automotive, battery and biopharma sectors.

Fluent in both English and Korean, Kim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from the University of Florida, and he studied for his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of South Florida before he moved overseas. Outside of the office, he spends his free time on the golf course and outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
