Gresham Smith Announces Tonya Spry as Director of Human Resources
Gresham Smith, a top-ranked national architecture and engineering firm with more than $200 million in annual gross revenue is pleased to announce that Tonya Spry, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has joined the firm as Director of Human Resources.
Spry has more than two decades of broad-range human resources (HR) leadership experience that includes developing and implementing innovative approaches for talent attraction and retention, fostering engaged employee cultures, and building strong professional development programs. Over the course of her career serving with global architecture and engineering firms, Tonya has established a reputation as a trusted business partner who aligns talent strategies with operational and financial needs.

Spry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, and is a member of both the national and Middle Tennessee chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). A Tennessee native, Spry will be based in the firm’s Nashville office.

Her accomplishments include implementing retention and engagement training programs for managers that reduced voluntary turnover; leading HR initiatives associated with transformative mergers and acquisitions; developing diversity, equity and inclusion training; and managing human resources operations across multiple geographies. Tonya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, and is both a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional.
