Gresham Smith is proud to announce another successful year of raising awareness and funds to support United Way and their partner agencies. Building off a record-setting 2018 campaign, the firm’s 2019 employee and corporate commitments to United Way exceeded $250,000, yet again setting a new one-year giving record for the firm and bringing Gresham Smith’s total contribution to more than $3 million since the partnership began in 1995.

“For four straight days we had an immeasurable amount of energy focused on raising awareness and funds to help our communities thrive. Our employees’ enthusiasm paid off and I’m proud to say that this year marks our largest giving campaign to-date,” said Al Pramuk, chairman and CEO, Gresham Smith. “As a company, we strive to put our scale and influence to good use. Supporting organizations such as United Way is key to improving the cities and towns we call home and I look forward to witnessing how the organization continues to benefit the education, financial stability and health of our local communities.”

Employees held group service activities and office-wide competitions to help raise awareness and funds in support of community needs. The Alpharetta office hosted a pancake breakfast, coat and can drive and corn hole tournament and Birmingham staff gathered for a raffle, while the firm’s Jacksonville office organized an UNO tournament and hosted a school supply drive. Staff in Nashville held a highly competitive field day competition and pied members of the leadership team in the face, while Tampa employees challenged each other to office chair races and an office supply putt-putt course.

United Way is dedicated to creating lasting change in communities around the world. By improving education, financial stability and health for every individual, the organization provides the building blocks for strong communities. Gresham Smith’s 2019 giving campaign benefited United Way of Greater Atlanta, United Way of Central Alabama, United Way of the Bluegrass, Capital Area United Way, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, United Way of Greater Knoxville, United Way of the Mid-South, United Way of Central Ohio, United Way of Metro Chicago, Louisville Metro United Way, United Way of Northeast Florida, United Way Suncoast and United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.
