Gresham Smith-Designed Sites House Next Generation of Twice Daily Stores

Gresham Smith recently provided civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture services for two locations of Twice Daily’s next generation of convenience stores. With one location on Carothers Parkway and the other on Highway 96 in Franklin, Tenn., the stores feature a gourmet White Bison Coffee Bar and refreshments as well as outdoor dining space. The Highway 96 location also includes a drive-thru window and both a front and rear entrance. The projects illustrate a cutting-edge convenience store concept and Twice Daily’s commitment to sites that house more customer amenities. They were delivered on an accelerated design and construction schedule for Tri-Star, the owner of Twice Daily stores.

“These stores were an exciting opportunity for our team to employ our knowledge of the City of Franklin and our multi-disciplinary approach in order to develop smart, highly functional sites for Twice Daily,” said Mark Spalding, P.E., senior civil engineer at Gresham Smith. “Tri-Star’s leaders trusted us to help bring their progressive vision to life on a fast-tracked schedule, and it’s been rewarding for us to see how much customers are enjoying their experiences at the new locations.”

“We are appreciative of Gresham Smith’s partnership in the site plan design and permitting efforts for these sites in the City of Franklin.  They were instrumental in helping us launch these exciting new stores,” said Charlton Bell, Tri Star Energy Senior Vice President of Facilities.

“This next wave of Twice Daily stores is not business as usual,” said Steve Hostetter, Tri Star Energy CEO. “We’re expanding our commitment to provide premium quality and convenience by giving our guests a craft coffee experience on the go.”
