Gresham Smith Interior Designers to Lead IIDA Florida Chapters

Gresham Smith announces that Christi Coats, NCIDQ, IIDA, EDAC, Mary C. Couch, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C, and Alexis Moore, Associate IIDA, have been elected to leadership positions within the three local Florida chapters of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Coats has been elected president of the Central Florida chapter; Couch will serve as president for the North Florida chapter; and Moore is president-elect for the South Florida chapter, taking over as president beginning July 2020.

As an interior designer in the firm’s Tampa Healthcare studio, Coats has worked with clients such as Baptist Health, AdventHealth and the Mayo Clinic to create human-centered care spaces. Couch is a senior interior designer in the Jacksonville Corporate+Urban Design studio. Over the past five years at Gresham Smith she has developed workplace designs for clients including CSX and Fanatics. Moore is an interior design intern in the Miami Healthcare studio. Recently she has been working with Baptist Health South Florida to bring the provider’s new brand to life through design of its facilities.

IIDA advocates for advancement in education, design excellence, legislation, leadership, accreditation and community outreach to increase the value and understanding of Interior Design as a professional that enhances business value and positively impacts the health and well-being of people’s lives every day.
