February 17, 2021

Gresham Smith has been named one of Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2021 Best Places to Work. This recognition was based on feedback from the firm’s more than 70 Tampa employees when asked about the firm’s culture, team effectiveness, work engagement and trust in leadership. This is the second year in a row the firm has been named a Best Place to Work in Tampa.

“We’re honored to be recognized as one of Tampa’s Best Places to Work for the second year in a row,” said Gresham Smith Chairman and CEO Al Pramuk. “We genuinely care for each other and believe the long-term health of our firm is built upon our culture. We empower our employees to reach their highest potential, and that reflects in the quality of service we provide to our clients and communities.”

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Gresham Smith has had a presence in Tampa since 1997. Locally, the team specializes in providing architecture, engineering, and interior design services for Aviation, Corporate + Urban Design, Healthcare, Transportation, and Water + Environment clients. Recent local projects include the automated people mover and rental car center at Tampa International Airport, legal giant Baker McKenzie’s Tampa Center, Tampa General Hospital’s Brandon Healthplex, and the Florida Department of Transportation’s District 2 roadway lighting program. In addition to the firm’s involvement with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, the office also partners with the Tampa Downtown Partnership, United Way Suncoast, Bike/Walk Tampa Bay, Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, and a Brighter Community to give back to the community.

This award joins a growing list of accolades for the firm’s Tampa team. In addition to being named a Best Place to Work by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2020, the office also topped the outlet’s list of largest architecture firms in 2019. The Tampa office was also named a “Best Company to Work for in Florida” by Florida Trend in 2018. The firm’s workplace and culture has also been recognized by additional publications, including Baton Rouge Business Report, Birmingham Business Journal, Charlotte Business Journal, Louisville Business First, Nashville Business Journal, and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
