Gresham Smith Names Don Reynolds Executive Vice President

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Don Reynolds, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been tapped as the new Executive Vice President of the firm’s Corporate + Urban Design market.

Reynolds joins the firm after an 18-year tenure as a Managing Principal of Perkins and Will’s Corporate, Commercial, and Civic practice. He will be based in Atlanta.

“Don is a seasoned leader, and we’re thrilled to have him take the reins of our dynamic Corporate + Urban Design market,” said Randy Gibson, chief strategy officer at Gresham Smith. “He has a strong track record of working with a broad network of clients, from government to higher education, as well as end users and developers. He has the experience to take our practice to the next level.”

His work has been recognized for design excellence and innovative sustainable solutions with multiple design awards and LEED certifications for completed district, campus and building environments. At Perkins and Will, he led the design and execution of major projects, including:

  • Bridgestone Americas corporate headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Darden Restaurants corporate headquarters in Orlando, Florida
  • BMW’s Site Operations Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina
  • WestEdge, the new urban waterfront district in Charleston, South Carolina
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Chamblee Campus in Atlanta

An active community and industry leader, he currently serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta Advisory Board, Central Atlanta Progress Board, the Midtown Alliance Development Review Committee and the University of Tennessee College of Architecture & Design Dean’s Advisory Board. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee.
