Gresham Smith Names New Marketing Operations Director Angie Womack
Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Angie Womack has been promoted to director of marketing operations, effective March 1, 2021. Womack has worked for the firm for 35 years and has nearly 30 years of marketing experience.
An accomplished leader within the firm, Womack has been instrumental in winning numerous projects and completing hundreds of proposals and presentations. She helped launch several internal training and development opportunities, elevating the capabilities of the marketing team and the firm, as a whole.
“Angie has consistently encouraged her team to reach beyond their current responsibilities and find new ways to support our firm’s work,” said Chief Strategy Officer Randy Gibson. “Under her leadership, the marketing group has grown to become a strategic partner—not only supporting our business development pursuits, but also in delivering services to our clients,” he added.
In her new role, Womack will oversee the firm’s marketing team and work with senior leaders to develop strategies geared toward expanding Gresham Smith’s external market share. She will play a key role in developing and implementing improved procedures and practices across the firm, and will assist with major project pursuits.
Womack plays an active role in the marketing field and in the community. She has served as a conference committee member for the Tennessee Chapter of the American Public Works Association and received the Roger Clark Award from the organization in 2012. Outside of work, Womack has volunteered her time with United Way, Martha O’Bryan Center and the Salvation Army.
