Gresham Smith Welcomes Jim Langlois as Executive Vice President of Healthcare

Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that Jim Langlois, AIA, LEED AP, has been named executive vice president for the firm’s Healthcare market. Langlois will shape and lead the market’s growth strategy bringing to bear more than 30 years of diverse experience.

“Jim has dedicated his career to healthcare and biomedical research keeping a pulse on the rapidly changing healthcare, architecture and engineering industries. As a result of this and his dedication to team building, he has been able to build practices and add value to firms and clients at a variety of organizations,” said Al Pramuk, Chairman and CEO, Gresham Smith. “His proven ability to replicate success as well as his commitment to professional career development, his clients and his community aligns with our culture and will help position our firm for smart, sustainable growth.”

Langlois most recently served as Healthcare Principal and Studio Director for a Carolina-based design firm. Prior to that, he had a 13-year career with HDR Architecture serving as Managing Principal and National Healthcare Principal for the firm’s Federal Program.

As an industry advocate, Langlois is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He has served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for Charlotte Section of the AIA North Carolina Chapter and served on UNC Charlotte College of Arts & Architecture’s Board of Advisors.

Langlois earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. He also holds a Master of Science in Executive Coaching from Queens University of Charlotte, McColl School of Business.
