Article Highlights Firm’s Work on Lexington’s Town Branch Commons

Gresham Smith’s Mike Sewell Published in ASHE Scanner Magazine

In the Winter 2021 issue of the ASHE Scanner, Gresham Smith Active Transportation Service Line Leader Mike Sewell, P.E., L.C.I., discussed the Town Branch Commons, a multimodal trail, greenway and park system in Lexington, KY. When completed, the project will provide a 22-mile corridor to link the urban, suburban and rural parts of the city.

In the article, Sewell discussed how the final design will pay homage to Lexington’s history and original vision. “Complete streets approaches for a historic corridor like Town Branch Commons means a lot of different things to different people,” he said.
