Lewis Collings Joins Gresham Smith’s Industrial Team as Senior Project Manager

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that it has hired Lewis Collings, P.E., as a new senior project manager and mechanical engineer in the Industrial market.

Collings brings over 35 years of experience in industrial, process, and commercial system design and project leadership; including pipelines and terminals, refining and chemical processing, steel and aluminum manufacturing, steam and electricity generation, and commercial and industrial piping and HVAC systems. His responsibilities have included development of design criteria, conceptual design, and design for construction; as well as supervision of design team efforts.

During his career, he has served in a leadership capacity as both a direct employee of manufacturers and as a consultant in roles that include technical leadership, preparations of design, and overall project, construction, and program management.

As a senior project manager at Gresham Smith, he will be responsible for leading project teams through all phases of the project. He’ll serve as the liaison between the client and the technical design team to identify the clients’ needs and objectives and guide the project to successful completion. Currently, he is supporting the Ultium Cells battery plant in Ohio.

Collings received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
