“I am honored to serve on a GPTQ subcommittee and applaud my colleagues for their appointments as well,” commented Braswell. “This is a great opportunity for all three of us to apply our experience to advance the Transportation industry and provide leadership to partners and clients in an effort to positively impact our communities. I look forward to how we will work with industry peers to assist the state of Georgia with improving processes that benefit transportation project delivery.”

GPTQ subcommittees are comprised of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and consultant volunteers chosen by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Georgia leadership on an annual basis. The subcommittees serve to foster working relationships between GDOT and private consultants for engineering services. The groups work to promote process effectiveness while ensuring that all GDOT requirements, as well as state and federal laws are met.

GPTQ is a longstanding partnership between ACEC of Georgia, GDOT and the Georgia Highway Contractors Association. The mission of GPTQ is to strengthen the relationships between the parties involved in Georgia’s transportation infrastructure with the overarching goal of providing safe, effective transportation for the state of Georgia.
