Gresham, Smith and Partners announces the completion of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) new corporate headquarters in downtown Nashville. The 39,300-square-foot space in the One Nashville Place building brings together employees who were previously scattered throughout numerous floors accessed by different elevators. The project supports NASBA’s goal of establishing a modern, energizing space that enhances employee collaboration and allows for future growth within the organization. GS&P provided interior design and environmental graphic design services.

“Our newly designed headquarters equip our staff to better serve the 55 U.S. Boards of Accountancy,” said Ken Bishop, NASBA president and CEO. “We embraced the opportunity to modernize our space to increase efficiencies and enhance collaboration throughout the organization.  We appreciate the work GS&P did to understand our needs and bring our vision into reality.”

“Our design incorporates a lot of progressive concepts that will make a positive impact on the way NASBA employees work,” commented Amy Klinefelter, IIDA, LEED AP, interior designer at Gresham, Smith and Partners. “We introduced natural light in the offices and workstations, provided space for both open and closed collaborative work areas and enclaves, and added a communicating stair and café-style break area where employees can gather for casual meetings, to eat lunch or just talk over coffee. The use of a modern color palette and eye-catching graphics also brings a lot of energy to the space. Our team is really proud of this project and we’re pleased to hear that it’s being well-received by NASBA’s staff.”

GS&P’s recent workplace projects include the 145,000-square-foot Georgia Contact Center for Kaiser Permanente, 38,000-square-foot headquarters facility for 20|20 Research in Nashville, Tenn., Eco-Energy’s new 32,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Franklin, Tenn., and the new 12,760-square-foot DOW Electronics corporate office near Tampa, Fla.

“Our newly designed headquarters equip our staff to better serve the 55 U.S. Boards of Accountancy. We embraced the opportunity to modernize our space to increase efficiencies and enhance collaboration throughout the organization. We appreciate the work GS&P did to understand our needs and bring our vision into reality.”
