GS&P Adds Transportation Staff To Growing Tallahassee Office

French, Hill to Expand Firm's Design and Planning Services in Florida

Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading multi-disciplinary design and consulting firm for the built environment, announces that senior transportation engineer M. Todd French, P.E. and transportation engineering technician Joshua Hill have joined GS&P's Tallahassee office. Opened in September of 2012, the Tallahassee office aims to grow and improve the firm's service capabilities for the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) Central Office, District 2, District 3, the City of Tallahassee and Leon County, as well as surrounding cities and counties. French and Hill will join the firm's established Florida leadership team, including Bill Moore, P.E., Kent Black, P.E., and Tyler Strickland, P.E., J.D., in their efforts to develop strong business relationships in the Tallahassee region and throughout north Florida.

French brings more than 17 years of experience in transportation design and management. His experience includes project management, design, quality control and permitting related to the preparation of contract plans for transportation projects. He has managed and designed projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 3, FDOT District 2, FDOT Central Office, Turnpike Enterprise, City of Tallahassee, Leon County, Blue Print 2000, Capital Region Community Development District, Opportunity Florida, City of Panama City Beach, Walton County and St. Joe. French earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University. He is currently a registered professional engineer in Florida and an active member of the Florida Engineering Society (FES).

Hill has more than 13 years of experience in roadway and airport design, drafting, military automated logistics, CEI and construction, with a broad knowledge of Microstation, Autocad Civil 3D, GeoPak and the FDOT site menu. He has extensive experience in the preparation of FDOT plans including roadway, signing and pavement marking, signalization, drainage and project lighting plans. Hill is a U.S. Army veteran, having completed four years of service which included tours in Iraq, Kosovo and Bosnia.
