“GS&P has a strong, long-standing relationship with FDOT and a deep knowledge of the Florida’s infrastructure,” commented Tyler Strickland, P.E., Florida state transportation leader, Gresham, Smith and Partners. “Our team drew on our existing knowledge and experience to provide a high-quality design solution that improves safety, connectivity and traffic flow for Gadsden County.”

GS&P’s design called for the resurfacing of nearly 10 miles of existing travel lanes, parking lanes, median crossovers, auxiliary lanes and paved shoulders along State Route 12 from the Yon Creek Bridge to the pavement change west of State Route 10. To increase safety, the project team also installed new guardrails, reconstructed sidewalks and curb ramps and corrected cross slope and super elevation. GS&P also resurfaced three bridges within the project limits and replaced the bridge expansion joints.
