Hankook Tire Celebrates Grand Opening of GS&P-Designed Facility

State-of-the-Art Plant in Clarksville, Tenn., is Company’s First in U.S.

Gresham, Smith and Partners was pleased to join Hankook Tire leaders and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam at a grand opening ceremony yesterday for Hankook’s new GS&P-designed greenfield manufacturing facility. Located on 469 acres in Clarksville, Tenn., the 1.5-million-square-foot plant is Hankook’s first in the United States. GS&P’s team designed the innovative facility to help Hankook grow its top-tier tire market share in North America. Production officially began in April with a capacity of 5.5 million units annually. Upon completion of the second phase of the campus, capacity will double to 11 million units annually.
