Roy C. Andrews Joins Gresham Smith as Senior Civil Engineer

Gresham Smith announces that Roy C. Andrews, P.E., has joined the firm as a senior civil engineer in the Land Planning market. He will offer civil engineering experience to Land Planning clients and staff, focusing on design team leadership, staff mentorship and business development. Andrews brings 19 years of expertise in civil design and construction, site development and land development for a broad range of projects including retail, healthcare and institutional.

“I enjoy tackling everyday project challenges as well as the most complex tasks that we encounter in the civil and site world,” said Andrews. “No two projects are the same, and that’s what makes our industry exciting. I’m committed to getting in the trenches with our clients and partners, internalizing their goals as my own, and seeing things through to a successful end. Prior to joining Gresham Smith, Andrews was a senior project manager with Baldwin & Shell Construction Company in Jonesboro, Ark. He also spent 13 years as a principal civil engineer at Development Consultants, Inc., in Little Rock. Some of his recent projects include serving as project manager for the $25 million Germantown Elementary School and Municipal Building in Germantown, Tenn. He was also design engineer for the Outlets of Little Rock mall and Kirk Road extension. Andrews was formerly the Maumelle Planning Commissioner in Arkansas and a member of the Board of Directors for the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of The University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Phoenix’s Little Rock campus.
