From the design of their regional headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, to the expansion of their home office in Lansing, Michigan, Gresham Smith has been providing Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson®) with thoughtful and dynamic workplace design solutions for more than 10 years. When the organization sought to establish a presence in Washington, D.C. to support their government relations team, they turned to us once again, this time seeking a functional yet distinguishing space that was “classy, modern and unique.” Our design packs a punch in just 1,800 square feet, delivering an open and inviting office/hospitality space in which Jackson can work, educate and entertain in the nation’s capital.

Contextually Appropriate, Distinctly Jackson

Contextually Appropriate, Distinctly Jackson

The multipurpose space continues with design standards established across Jackson’s various workspaces for consistency, while reflecting a unique urban feel. Design components such as an exposed concrete floor and exposed ductwork help tie the space to the surrounding aesthetic context. The use of wood in the ceiling and entertaining bar lends a touch of warmth to the space.
A Postcard-Worthy View

A Postcard-Worthy View

Our design takes advantage of the office’s prime location on Pennsylvania Avenue. Interior glass walls provide a visual connection to the Capital Building and Washington Monument, affording views from the suite and interior spaces, and allowing natural light to permeate throughout the entire floor plan.

A large, open meeting space features the latest technology, including video conferencing that allows virtual collaboration with industry leaders from around the country and across the globe. Directly across from the meeting space, a galley kitchen/bar augments the client’s ability to host and entertain lobbyists and organizations.
Helping Jackson Share Their Message & Brand

Helping Jackson Share Their Message & Brand

Representing Jackson’s first physical footprint in Washington, D.C., our design supports the company’s government relations efforts aimed at helping their clients achieve financial freedom for life. The new office/hospitality space not only allows the firm to share their message in the nation’s capital, but also provides Jackson with brand recognition across a broader base that transcends the more typical corporate office setting.
