Meridian Cool Springs is an upscale community in the heart of Williamson County. The 60-acre, mixed-use urban streetscape features Class A office space, retail stores, fine dining, casual restaurants and two on-site hotels — all within walking distance along attractive tree-lined streets. In order to satisfy growing demand for suburban office space with the unique benefits of an urban workplace, Boyle Nashville called on Gresham Smith to design the final phase of the development. Boyle’s vision for the new 182,000-square-foot building included establishing a unique character, allowing enough flexibility to attract smaller tenants, LEED Silver certification, and a new parking garage that blends with the aesthetic of the overall development.
Starting with the prototypical office building design, our design team repositioned core elements to improve flexibility for a wide range of tenants, including increased frontage opportunities on multi-tenant floors. The entry sequence and elevator lobbies were redesigned for a more contemporary scheme, incorporating granite and wood finishes. The prototype’s resource consumption was also improved through better water efficiency and thermal envelope performance, including high-performance glass, a reflective roof, and an increased level of building insulation.
