Nestled deep in the Catskill Mountains of New York, The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark delivers an escape from the bustling city life. From the moment you see our monument sign at the main entrance, you will know you’re in the right place. Our task was providing signage and graphics for a dynamic range of playful environments that captures the energetic essence of this upscale resort and water park. We touched every part of the resort from interior and exterior signage to the amenities and waterpark.

For the luxury lodge, we designed a series of fun, cheeky signage to show you around the place and let you know what kind of fun is in store. When you’re at The Kartrite, your suite is the ideal spot for waging epic pillow fights and building the best blanket forts. If that’s not your thing, then you can chill at the spa, or work up a sweat in the fitness center.

Signage in New York’s largest indoor waterpark has to stand out. As you wander through adventures like Kartrite Island, the color of the signage corresponds to the color of the different slides, like The Krakken or the Nor’easter. Throughout the waterpark, you’ll see vivid, bright colors that pop alongside the lush, green landscapes that have the feel of a Victorian-era greenhouse.

Creating a Unique Experience for Dining and Retail

Each restaurant and shop at Kartrite offers a different experience so we made sure our playful signage communicates each venue’s unique brand experience, such as the Highline, named after New York City’s famed elevated greenway, or Bixby’s, a modern 19th century-themed bar.
