Gresham Smith Transportation Leaders Appointed to ITS Tennessee Board of Directors
Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Middle Tennessee Area Transportation Leader Andy Lucyshyn, P.E., PTOE, and Senior Transportation Engineer Meredith Cebelak, Ph.D., P.E., have been appointed to the Intelligent Transportation Society of Tennessee’s Board of Directors. Lucyshyn will serve as a director for the next two years, while Cebelak will serve as the chapter’s vice president for the 2019 – 2020 year before transitioning to president in 2020. They will focus on advancing transportation technology across the state to create a safer, more efficient roadway system.

By using the latest technology and implementing innovative funding strategies, we can help make our transportation systems safer and more efficient,” said Lucyshyn. “ITS Tennessee plays an important role in connecting communities, as well as helping municipalities stay ahead of the curve, and Meredith and I are honored to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors.”
As Gresham Smith’s Middle Tennessee Area Transportation Leader, Lucyshyn leads operations, practice, growth strategy and business development for the firm’s Nashville-based Transportation group. He has also helped lead Gresham Smith’s firmwide Intelligent Mobility initiative, which includes the technical areas of complete streets and active transportation, transit, connected and autonomous vehicles, and transportation systems management and operations.
Cebelak joined Gresham Smith in 2016 and has nearly 20 years of experience designing and implementing technology-driven infrastructure solutions. Throughout her career she’s been involved in the design efforts for more than 900 miles and more than 200 intersection-specific Intelligent Transportation Systems. Additionally, she’s been involved in several research projects that explore the impacts of technology and the transportation field including connected and autonomous vehicles.
