Gresham Smith is currently designing a high-voltage lab (HVL) and technical office building for a major American power and energy company. The 83,200 square-foot technical office building will be used for laboratory and administrative space. The separate 19,600-square-foot HVL, which is expected to be one of the largest in the world after completion, includes a 140-foot cube “Faraday cage” that will be used for testing new and existing products and systems. Our team is providing full architecture, interiors and engineering design services. The building is being designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
