H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Gresham Smith-Designed Clinical Support Building
Gresham Smith recently celebrated the groundbreaking for the new H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute’s Clinical Support Building. The firm is providing architectural and interior design services for the 200,000-square-foot project. It will create a new workplace environment promoting collaboration between faculty on six floors of the eight-story building and house state-of-the-art clinical labs on two floors. Gresham Smith’s highly efficient, sophisticated design will support the center’s continued growth and streamline clinical support processes. Construction is expected to complete in early 2020.

Our staff and faculty will be able to work together in a single building, collaborating to support the health and wellbeing of both Moffitt’s patients and employees. The new building also frees up space in our existing facility for more beds, increasing the number of patients we are able to treat. Our team looks forward to bringing this project to life.”

The project is being delivered as a design-build partnership with Creative Contractors, Inc. of Clearwater, Fla. Throughout design, Gresham Smith has worked with Moffitt’s leadership team to provide change management services to support a smooth migration between all project phases and prepare Moffitt’s employees for their new work environment.
