Gresham Smith provided complete interior design services for an exciting new 5,200-square-foot office for the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The interior renovation and buildout project on the 8th floor of the Two Urban Centre building modernizes the journal’s newsroom and administrative areas with  a collaborative, technology-centered design. Open workstations and a variety of meeting spaces are enhanced by extraordinary views of the city and Tampa-inspired art installations. The team was focused on creating a progressive, clean aesthetic with a touch of fun.

A traditional reception area in the previous office was repurposed as a collaboration area. A highly efficient digital check-in system now alerts employees to guests’ arrival. Team spaces include conference rooms, huddle rooms, focus rooms and group spaces with lounge seating. An open layout allows reporters to better share information. The TBBJ’s original red-and-white color scheme was incorporated into a more subtle palette with pops of red.
