Changing the way Nashville lives, works and plays, The Place is a 34-story, 380-unit residential tower perched above the Fifth + Broadway mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Nashville. Brookfield Properties called on Gresham Smith to bring a new level of sophisticated, urban living to Nashville. Offering luxurious, rentable living with a strong sense of community, the development features studio apartments, one-, two- and three-bedroom units as well as penthouse residences and guest suites.

For The Place, Gresham Smith served as executive architect and architect of record alongside Pappageorge Haymes (exterior design) and Jules Wilson Design Studio (interior design).
