As chief financial officer, Dwayne West is responsible for the firm’s financial strategy and performance as well as the accounting and IT operations of the firm. He has served on Gresham Smith’s board of directors since 2016.
During his 20+ years at Gresham Smith, Dwyane has cultivated a strong track record of success, improving Gresham Smith’s profitability with his “ROI” mindset and consistent, efficient processes. He has also been a key leader of internal training programs that have helped our managers connect their individual decisions and performance to the firm’s overall viability. Dwayne has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as a winner in its CFO Awards program, which honors financial professionals in Middle Tennessee for their roles as corporate financial stewards. Outside of work, he has held several leadership roles within the Boy Scouts of America over the past 15 years. He is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and a former member of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development.
Before stepping into his current role as CFO, Dwayne served as director of finance at Gresham Smith. Prior to joining the firm, he held a managerial position in the audit division of the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP.
