The curbside is a key element of the passenger experience that helps define first and last impressions. However, as both domestic and international passenger volumes increase at our nation’s airports, so does the possibility for overcrowding and increased congestion on the roadways outside the terminal. Car pickups and drop-offs, taxis, shuttle vans and buses have to dodge each other as they load and unload passengers, and pedestrians getting in and out of vehicles or crossing lanes of traffic add to the congestion as well.

From revisiting roadway signage to creating multiple front doors and expanding curbsides, our team has experience improving landside/curbside access at airports across the nation. By taking a holistic approach to reducing curbside congestion, we can increase capacity, reduce wait times and create flexibility for the future, ultimately enhancing the passenger experience.
