Michelle Wright is market vice president of Industrial at Gresham Smith. In this role, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the market, providing business development leadership to key clients across multiple markets, while growing a diverse, high-performing team.

With nearly three decades of expertise as both a process engineer and project manager, Michelle brings invaluable knowledge to the firm. As a licensed chemical engineer, she has worked with numerous chemical manufacturing facilities across the globe throughout her career. Her diverse engineering background gives her keen insight into the needs and challenges of many market sectors—from energy storage, advanced manufacturing and automotive, food and beverage, specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals to warehousing/distribution. In recognition of her contributions to the industry, Michelle was named a “Woman of Influence” by the Nashville Business Journal in 2022. Michelle is an executive board member at Habitat for Humanity Williamson Maury County, where she is passionate about making a difference in affordable housing in the region.

Prior to rejoining Gresham Smith, Michelle was most recently a senior manager at Ernst & Young, LLP, in Nashville. She has also held positions as a project engineer and project manager with several national firms where she oversaw the management of highly technical projects, applying her global expertise to meet the unique demands of Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies.
