Abim’s work focuses on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and cutting-edge technologies to improve roadway safety and system performance. With a Ph.D. in infrastructure and environmental systems, Abim has contributed to developing innovative models that predict safety risks influenced by environmental factors such as weather—moving beyond traditional crash analysis to enable proactive safety frameworks that help prevent incidents before they occur.
At Gresham Smith, Abim applies his expertise in traffic forecasting, signal operations and transportation systems analysis to optimize operations and enhance safety outcomes. He has developed simulation models, automated data processes and interactive dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
