Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that Water Resources Engineer Diana Chumak, P.E., and Engineer-In-Training Camille Colter, EIT, will represent Gresham Smith at the 41st annual WateReuse Symposium on Monday, March 9, in Los Angeles, California.

Chumak and Colter will lead a session titled “A Gallon of Water for Your Query: Sustainable Approaches to Quenching AI’s Thirst.” Their presentation will examine how the rapid growth of artificial intelligence is influencing water and wastewater treatment needs, and how utilities can evolve treatment strategies to support both technological advancement and long‑term resource stewardship.

Attendees will gain insight into the critical intersection of sustainability, digital transformation, and environmental responsibility, with practical guidance for professionals navigating emerging challenges in water, energy, and resource efficiency.

The symposium will be held in the state that established the nation’s first water reuse regulations in 1918 and continues to lead with innovative approaches to securing a resilient water future. Participants will also have opportunities to tour some of the country’s most impactful water reuse facilities.
