Gresham Smith Welcomes Robert Davidson as Quality and Standards Leader

Industry Veteran Brings 20+ Years of Expertise to Advance Project Delivery Excellence

Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that Robert Davidson has joined the firm’s Project Delivery Excellence Practice Pillar as the Quality and Standards Leader. In this role, he will evaluate, further develop and implement the firm’s Quality Management System to provide a standard set of procedures, work instructions and other tools that support consistent project execution. In collaboration with leaders across the firm, Davidson will also provide leadership, mentorship, technical direction and enhanced training to ensure effective project delivery for clients.

“Robert’s depth of experience in quality assurance, contractor compliance and project delivery will be a tremendous asset to our teams and clients,” said Laura Guinan, Director of Project Delivery Excellence. “His leadership will help us continue strengthening our Quality Management System and delivering consistent, high-quality results across the firm.”

As a quality, construction, and project management leader with over 20 years of experience, Davidson has overseen large-scale infrastructure, transit and federal projects across the public and private sectors. Most recently, he worked with WSP USA, where he led quality assurance and contractor compliance to strengthen performance and ensure compliance with contract and regulatory requirements. Throughout his career, Davidson has led complex teams and subcontractor networks and driven project controls, closeout deliverables, and quality program development for work ranging from manufacturing facilities to multimillion-dollar transportation and defense contracts.

Davidson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and a Master of Science degree in construction project management, both from Robert Gordon University. He holds various professional credentials, most notably including Certified Construction Manager and Certified Quality Auditor.
