The Gresham Smith-designed concourse expansion and modernization at Myrtle Beach International Airport was honored as the Architectural Project of the Year. The project showcases Gresham Smith’s award-winning approach to aviation design, creating environments that improve operational efficiency, elevate the passenger experience and support sustainable, long-term growth for the communities airports serve.
Both honors were presented during the Keynote Luncheon at the 2026 SEC-AAAE Conference, held in Savannah, Georgia, at noon on Monday, March 30. The annual conference brings together aviation professionals from across the region to exchange knowledge, strengthen industry relationships, and explore best practices that are shaping the future of airport development and operations.
