Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that Cedric Clark has joined the firm as Georgia State Transportation Leader. In this role, Cedric will work to expand and strengthen Gresham Smith’s Transportation practice and client relationships across the state of Georgia, bringing a deep expertise of public- and private-sector work built over nearly three decades in the industry.

Cedric brings 27 years of extensive experience in transportation project management, planning and program leadership. Throughout his career, he has successfully led a broad range of projects from concept development through construction. His professional background most recently includes serving as President and Partner at Southeastern Engineering, Inc. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), where he built foundational industry relationships.
Clark is a familiar face for the Gresham Smith team. In 2016, as a subconsultant with Southeastern Engineering, he played a key role on the firm’s team that manages GDOT’s Statewide Traffic Operations & Safety Program. Under the program, the firm has delivered more than $1 billion in combined projects.
Cedric’s experience spans local government as well, having played a significant role in the incorporation of municipalities within Fulton County, working alongside cities such as Sandy Springs, Milton and Johns Creek during a pivotal period of regional growth and transformation. During this time, Cedric also served as transportation planning engineer and project manager in each of the City’s Capital Improvement Programs and was responsible for coordination with GDOT, Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and other regional partners.
Beyond his project work, Cedric is a graduate of the ACEC Engineering Leadership Academy and has served as a mentor in the program for the past two years. He also serves as Membership Chair for the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) at Kennesaw State University, supporting the university’s mission and connecting industry professionals with academic leadership.

Cedric holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Columbia Southern University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
