Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that Staron Faucher, AICP, has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a Senior Planner. In this role, Faucher will work closely with Meredith Cebelak, PhD, P.E., the firm’s State Transportation Leader – North Texas. Together, they will work to advance transportation planning and mobility projects in the rapidly growing North Texas region and help the firm deliver innovative, accessible and people-centered transportation solutions.

Faucher brings 18 years of comprehensive experience in transportation and regional planning, with expertise across multimodal transportation systems, including bike and pedestrian infrastructure, transit, thoroughfare plans, corridor and mobility studies and smart mobility innovations. Throughout his career, he has managed a broad range of projects such as comprehensive plan updates, transportation corridor studies, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) assessments and placemaking initiatives covering cities and counties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Before joining Gresham Smith, Staron served in in a senior planning role where he led transportation plans and corridor studies and contributed to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan. His prior roles include key project leadership in comprehensive thoroughfare plans for rapidly developing counties such as Ellis, Parker, Denton, and Rockwall, helping shape regional growth through thoughtful transportation investment strategies.
Staron’s commitment to the planning profession is further demonstrated by his active leadership roles. He currently chairs the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Ethics Committee and serves as AICP Commissioner for Region III, representing seven southern states including Texas. He also serves as Professional Development Officer for the North Central Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Having spent his entire career in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Staron is energized to join the collaborative and thriving Dallas office culture. “I’m excited to join Gresham Smith and collaborate with the team to improve the way people experience places,” said Staron. Faucher holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in environmental studies from Baylor University and a master’s degree in regional and city planning from the University of Oklahoma.
