Event Date

The Case for Commissioning: How Ongoing Support Can Save Money and Support Sustainability

Every facility’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems experience typical wear and tear. If left unchecked, simple wear and tear can lead to complex issues resulting in higher energy and utility costs and uncomfortable building occupants. However, building managers and operations personnel can proactively support the sustainable, sound operation of owners’ investments by employing regular ongoing commissioning. Defined as the continual process of planning for, monitoring, identifying and preventing system failures within a facility, ongoing commissioning helps buildings operate at peak performance. During this presentation, speakers will illustrate the process, benefits, tangible results and financial feasibility of ongoing commissioning using examples from the 12-year ongoing commissioning process at a Nashville-based 312,500-square-foot corporate headquarters.
