Gresham Smith Earns Outstanding Emerging Professional Friendly Firm Honor from AIA North Carolina

Firm Recognized for Dedication to Professional and Personal Development for Emerging Architects

Gresham Smith is proud to announce that the firm has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects North Carolina chapter (AIA North Carolina) as a 2023 Outstanding Emerging Professional Friendly Firm. The annual award honors workplaces that go above and beyond to foster growth in emerging professionals to develop diverse, creative, resilient and knowledgeable architects. Members of the firm’s Charlotte office accepted the award at the organization’s awards ceremony on Thursday, October 26.

Understanding that emerging professionals are critical to the vitality and growth of the architecture profession, Gresham Smith provides a variety of architecture-specific training and development programs for the firm’s more than 100 emerging professionals. Programs include monthly Architect Registration Exam (ARE) mentor meetings, regular ARE study groups, and dedicated days for celebrating EPs who have obtained professional licensure.
