Stormwater Asset Management and Master Planning for Jackson, Tenn.

Presented by Gresham Smith Water + Environment Vice President Katie Nolan, P.E.

To address the lack of a formal stormwater asset inventory, the City of Jackson, Tennessee, asked Gresham Smith to tailor a Pilot program in two stormwater basins that would meet the City’s current and future needs. The City planned to use ARPA funding to perform surveying, develop a geodatabase, perform condition assessment, and build a hydrologic and hydraulic model for the stormwater network. The program will assist the City in developing a CIP plan by utilizing the results of the model and condition assessment.  The model will be used to analyze areas of the City currently susceptible to flooding, develop alternatives to minimize flooding, and make recommendations.
