Consultancy Services Practice Leader to Speak about Opportunities in Transportation Careers

Event Date

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Consultancy Services Practice Leader Jeremy Busby is speaking at the American Indian Science and Engineering Society’s (AISES) 2024 National Gathering in Canada event that’s being held in Vancouver from Feb. 29 to March 2.

Founded in 1977, AISES supports 230 affiliated pre-college schools, 196 charted college and university chapters, 3 tribal chapters and 18 professional chapters in the United States and Canada. The goal of AISES is advancing indigenous people in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) careers by highlighting the geographic, economic and social aspects of STEM education and careers.

Busby, who also serves as an ally for AISES on its advisory committee, will speak about the opportunities that exist in the transportation engineering field and how the types of skills and practice is changing to include much more than just traditional transportation engineering. His presentation entitled “Opportunities for Transformation in Transportation Engineering” will outline the variety of opportunities that exist at architecture, engineering and construction firms to pursue careers in new and emerging practice areas such as consulting, program management, broadband expansion and the development of technology-driven tools and services. His session is being held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on March 2 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Learn more about the event here.
