Aviation Architect Brad Sucher Named to Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40

Dedicated to Enhancing the Passenger Experience, Sucher Has Taken the Lead Role on Several Expansive Projects

Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Senior Aviation Architect Brad Sucher, AIA, LEED AP, has been selected for Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2022.

Since joining the firm in 2011, Sucher has been significantly involved with some of Gresham Smith’s most expansive airport modernization projects. Serving as the architect of record for Gresham Smith’s work at Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport, Sucher has managed the expansion and modernization of two terminals, as well as various planning projects, which have included more than $1 billion in construction costs and spanned at years. At Asheville Regional Airport, Sucher has been leading efforts to double the size of the airport through a vertical expansion, as well as a complete rebrand to find an identity reflective of the local region.

Sucher takes part in the American Association of Airport Executives Young Professionals Society, where he was the young professional track host at the AAAE/ACC design symposium and mentored students from Hampton University. He also presented at the 2022 North Carolina Aviation conference about utilizing technology to help process passengers in terminal buildings.

Sucher is a Michigan native who grew up in Detroit. He also attended the University of Detroit, where he earned is Master of Architecture degree.
