August 19, 2022

Gresham Smith is proud to announce that the firm has been named a 2022 Best Places to Work by the Jacksonville Business Journal. This recognition is based on feedback from Gresham Smith’s employees about the firm’s culture, team effectiveness, work engagement and trust in leadership. Jacksonville is the ninth Gresham Smith office this year to earn recognition for its strong, positive culture.

“Fostering a workplace that supports an inclusive culture where all our employees have the opportunity to thrive—both personally and professionally—is one of our highest priorities,” said Gresham Smith CEO Rodney Chester. “We are proud of the work that we do, and we’re honored by the opportunities we have, every day, to have a positive impact on the communities we serve.”

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Gresham Smith established a presence in Jacksonville in 1989. Locally, the team specializes in providing architecture, interior design and engineering services for the firm’s Healthcare and Transportation clients. Recent local projects include the renovation and expansion of the M.T. Mustian Surgery Center and Critical Care Tower, the design and construction of the University of Florida Health Wildlight Rehabilitation Clinic, Healthy Living Center and YMCA, and the design of traffic signal upgrades for State Route 212.

In addition to the firm’s ongoing commitment to the United Way, Gresham Smith employees are active members with the North Florida chapter of the International Interior Design Association, the Jacksonville chapter of the American Institute of Architects, North Florida Transportation Planning Organization and Transportation Engineers’ First Coast chapter.

This award is the latest addition to Gresham Smith’s growing list of workplace accolades. The firm has also been recognized this year as a top place to work by the Nashville Business Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tampa Bay Business Journal, Louisville Business First, Birmingham Business Journal, South Florida Business Journal, Orlando Business Journal and Baton Rouge Business Report.
