Gresham Smith is pleased to announce two leadership appointments that will support the advancement of the firm’s digital transformation strategy. Jennifer Carr, AIA, NCARB, BECxP, LEED AP, has been named Director of Innovation and Information. Sam Baud will serve as Director of Digital Delivery.
“Jennifer and Sam’s new roles reflect our continued investment in digital transformation,” said Chief Digital Transformation Officer Mike Sewell. “Their expertise and leadership of their teams will set the foundation for a more integrated, innovative and future-ready Gresham Smith.”
In their new roles, Baud and Carr will help strengthen the firm’s approach to digital strategy and technology-enabled delivery, enhancing how teams collaborate, use data and implement tools that support client outcomes.
Baud will lead Digital Delivery, overseeing technology service delivery and design related technology capabilities that support consistent, reliable and forward-looking delivery of digital tools across the firm. Carr will lead the Innovation and Information team, which brings together the firm’s innovation and data capabilities to improve how information is leveraged across projects and operations, enabling smarter decision-making and new ways of working.
About Jennifer Carr
Carr brings strong leadership, technical knowledge and cross-functional collaboration experience to her role as Director of Innovation and Information. She joined Gresham Smith in 2007 and has held leadership roles including Project Executive, Lead Project Professional and Architect, Industrial Technical Practice Leader and continues to serve as the Birmingham Office Leader.
Throughout her career, Carr has combined a passion for design, data and technology with an ability to connect people and ideas. Her experience includes developing dashboards and data systems, advancing digital tools and workflows, and creating frameworks that strengthen accountability and decision-making. She has also led client-focused initiatives to develop new tools and services.
About Sam Baud
Baud brings extensive experience in information technology services, end-user support, team leadership and operational improvement to his role as Director of Digital Delivery. Since joining Gresham Smith in 2012, he has held several IT leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Manager of IT Service Delivery, where he helped evolve the firm’s service model, improve support processes and deliver a more integrated approach to technology support.
Baud’s focus includes enhancing the delivery of digital tools and technology services, with continued emphasis on automation, user experience and cross-team collaboration. His expertise is key in continuing to strengthen how digital tools and practice-facing services are delivered across the firm.
