Marie Crotty Joins Gresham Smith as Senior Mechanical Engineer in Orlando

Building Engineering Market Welcomes New Senior Mechanical Engineer

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Marie Crotty, P.E., has joined the firm as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the firm’s Building Engineering market. She is based in the firm’s Orlando, Florida office.

Crotty will use her nearly two decades of engineering experience in her new role, focusing on mechanical and plumbing engineering design for various building and project types. She will also help further develop the firm’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing practice in Florida.

Prior to joining Gresham Smith, Crotty most recently served as a mechanical engineer at Exp. U.S. Services, Inc. During her 17 years there, she specialized in plumbing design and mechanical/HVAC design, eventually moving to a project management role overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low voltage, and lighting design. Crotty holds a Professional Mechanical Engineering license in Florida and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).

Crotty earned her Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where she was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Her degree included a dual emphasis in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Engineering and Structural Engineering along with additional education in construction management and electrical engineering.
