Gresham Smith-Designed Healthcare Projects Honored by AIA Jacksonville

Two Gresham Smith-designed projects were honored at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Jacksonville Chapter’s Design & Honor Awards Gala on September 15.

The Jax Spine & Pain Centers, with UF Health Jacksonville, received the Award of Excellence for Commercial Built projects, which must have been completed, or substantially completed, between January 2018 and May 2023. The Nemours Children’s Health Outpatient Center received the Test of Time Award, which recognizes a project of 25 years or more after its completion, in which the function, aesthetic statement and execution of the project can be reassessed. The project must remain substantially in its original form, be in good condition and still house its original program.

The AIA Jacksonville Design and Honor Awards Program honors members, advocates, and industry participants in the Jacksonville architectural profession. These awards encourage excellence in architecture to elevate public consciousness of good planning and design, and recognize those whose work or advocacy enriches the built environment. Design and Honor Awards are bestowed upon members and participants who have contributed to the advancement of architecture, urban planning, art and craftsmanship.
